Privacy Policy

StyleMart Home Trading L.L.C. ("we") is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how long we keep it. It complies with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) and — where relevant — the EU GDPR for customers who shop from within the EEA.

What we collect

We collect only the personal data we need to ship an order and maintain our relationship with you. Specifically:

• Account data — name, email address, password (salted and hashed, never stored in plain text).
• Order data — delivery address, phone number (if provided), order history.
• Marketing data — email newsletter preferences, WhatsApp opt-in status (see below).
• Device data — anonymised analytics (page views, referrers, session duration). We do not use advertising pixels.

Cart recovery

If you add items to your cart and leave without completing the order, we may send up to three reminder messages across email and WhatsApp over 72 hours. The content of those messages is generated by our Lila assistant, which is powered by Google Gemini. Messages are limited to the catalogue items in your cart, your first name (if provided), and any discount code your cart value qualifies for. We do not train Gemini on your data.

You can opt out at any time by clicking unsubscribe in any email or replying STOP to any WhatsApp message.

Your rights

Under PDPL you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to withdraw consent for any marketing we send. Email privacy@stylemart.home to exercise any of these rights. We will respond within fifteen working days.

Retention

Account and order data are retained for six years from the last transaction, to meet FTA VAT requirements. Marketing preferences are retained until you withdraw consent. Anonymised analytics are retained for 24 months.

Sharing

We share personal data only with:

• Our payment processor for order processing.
• Our courier partners for shipping (Aramex for UAE/GCC; TCS for Pakistan).
• Google Cloud (including Gemini) for cart-recovery message generation. No personal data is used to train the model.
• Meta (WhatsApp Cloud API) for sending messages to customers who have opted in.
