Born in Sharjah, raised between Sharjah and Beirut. BA Design (University of the Arts London, 2014). Three years on the Zara Home GCC buying desk before launching StyleMart Home in 2020.

A brand built in Dubai, for the GCC.
StyleMart Home was founded in April 2020 by Mariam Al-Qasimi and Raza Ahmed, in a shared office at The Cribb in JLT. Mariam had spent three years on the Zara Home buying desk watching GCC customers struggle to find home pieces that were both considered and locally available. Raza had just wound down a decade at Ocado. We launched with a forty-piece catalogue. The catalogue is now fifty.
Timeline
- April 2020 — Trade licence issued by Dubai DED. First product — the Noor dinner plate — commissioned with a pottery in Caldas da Rainha.
- October 2020 — First thousand orders.
- June 2021 — Moved into our first dedicated warehouse in Dubai South.
- March 2022 — Time Out Dubai featured us in their "homeware brands bringing calm back" piece.
- September 2023 — Relocated the head office to Building 6, Dubai Design District. Opened Karachi fulfilment DC.
- April 2024 — Harper's Bazaar Arabia "House of the Year — Brand Pick". Launched the French linen range.
- February 2025 — Named to the Gulf News D2C 20.
- April 2026 — Six-year anniversary. 187,000 lifetime customers.

British-Pakistani. Spent ten years at Ocado leading the smart-routing team that eventually became OSP Logistics. Joined Mariam as co-founder in January 2020 to build the operations backbone of StyleMart.

Every piece in the catalogue is personally approved by Mariam and her buying team. No dropshipping. No marketplace reselling. If a piece isn't in our own homes, it isn't here.

We work with thirteen named workshops across Portugal, France, Turkey, Italy, Tunisia, Palestine, Jordan, Rwanda, India, and the US.
Long-life materials
Stoneware. Solid wood. Natural fibres. Solid brass. We avoid plated hardware, paraffin candles, and anything that flakes.
Fair, transparent pricing
We mark up between 2.3× and 2.9× of landed cost, considerably below the category average. Our margin pays for photography, shipping reliability, and our staff.
